Citation Review Panel
The Citation Review Panel, established by Assembly Bill 471 (Low, Chapter 372, Statutes of 2021), considers and makes recommendations on informal appeals requested by individuals who received a citation for violation of the Automotive Repair Act. The three-member panel includes:
One BAR representative
One public volunteer
One automotive repair industry volunteer
Informal citation review conferences
Informal citation review conferences allow individuals to have their citation appeal reviewed by the Citation Review Panel. After the conference, the panel's recommendation is considered by the BAR Chief and/or their designee. The BAR Chief or designee then decides whether to affirm, modify, or dismiss the citation.
Conferences are held by teleconference and are open to the public unless otherwise noted. Agendas are posted 10 days before each conference.
