Important information

Established by Assembly Bill 471, the Bureau of Automotive Repair’s Citation Review Panel will consider and make recommendations on all heard informal appeals. After the conference is adjourned, the recommendations will be presented to the Bureau Chief and/or their designee for consideration when rendering their decision to affirm, modify, or dismiss each citation. The Citation Review Panel will not hear or consider any appeals that are not on this agenda.

Upon arrival, Respondents should confirm their appearance and arrival time because the Citation Review Panel will generally hear matters in order of arrival. Respondents must include their name and citation number when checking in. If attending using the virtual option, Respondents must check in with the conference moderator using the comment feature in Webex. If attending in person, Respondents must check in using the sign-in sheet available at the back of the hearing room.

Depending on the duration of the proceedings the Bureau’s Citation Review Panel may take a short break and/or break for lunch around 1:00 PM as needed.

The Citation Review Panel will meet in closed session to deliberate pursuant to Government Code section 11126, subdivision (c)(3).
