Smog Check Inspection Manual and Guide
These two manuals together replace the Smog Check Inspection Manual (Revision 6).
- The Smog Check Reference Guide contains updated information pertaining to the operation of a Smog Check station, such as licensing requirements, repair cost waiver, and equipment maintenance.
- The Draft Smog Check Inspection Procedures Manual provides specific inspection procedures and will be incorporated into BAR regulations. This manual is a preliminary, or pre-regulatory, draft copy. It was initially posted for public comment in late June 2008. This August 2008 version is based on comments and suggestions we received. BAR greatly appreciates the initial comments and will notify you as soon as the regulatory process and formal 45-day comment period begins.
