Step 2: How do I apply for a Gold Shield Certification?

To apply, simply follow these 3 steps:

1. Read all the information on the application, including the detailed eligibility information on the second page. You can download the application here. If you are unable to download the application, you can also get them by:
   1. Calling our Consumer Information Center to request the application at 1-800-952-5210.
   2. Visiting a local field office to pick up the application. Click here for a list of field offices.
2. Fill out the application completely and sign it.
3. Mail the application to the address on the form.

Warning: The application must be submitted to the BAR Licensing Unit, at the address listed at the top of the application, for processing. An original signature and date are required. It is your responsibility to ensure that you complete the entire application. Submission of an incomplete application could result in application denial.
